This week we have two special occasions, 8th October was Uma’s birthday and Navarathri started since 10th October. For these important dates, we wanted to release something special. For Uma’s birthday, who better than Satkrit (Uma’s nephew) to do a dedication for Uma.
We are happy to share Satkrit’s arrangement of carnatic song, Giriraja Sutha, in raga Bangala. This is his maiden arrangement attempt for a carantice song. Hope you enjoy listening to it.
Continuing Uma's tradition we are happy to feature Svaksha Ravi and Sakshee Ravi as part of Raga Surabhi Darbar during this Navarathri.
Heartfelt thanks to Ravi Subramanian and Priya Ravi for kindly agreeing to feature their daughters in this series. Svaksha and Sakshee, are currently learning from Vidushi Smt. Aishwarya Shankar.
Please do listen and share it with family and friends, am sure you would enjoy listening to the brilliant rendition by the children.
They had also learnt from Dr. Uma Ram for brief period and Uma always used to be very impressed with their skills. God bless the children with the very best in all their endeavours!
