Week 125 Special Quiz - Results


Raga Surabhi has completed 125 Weeks, and it is time to celebrate!

True to Raga Surabhi tradition, we have a Special Quiz for this occasion. Rasikas might recall that our special quizzes always come in different formats and test different aspects of carnatic music each time :).  This time again, we are trying something new from our past quizzes.  We hope you will enjoy doing this!
 
Now let us proceed with the details of the quiz

Important information - Please read this before taking the Special Quiz

The quiz consists of 20 audio clips (provided below) taken from popular compositions we normally get to hear in concert platforms.  The sahithyam lines figuring in the clip is normally where kalpanaswaras / neraval is sung.  Rasikas must identify the raga featured in the audio clip plus the pallavi lines of the composition.  To make it more interesting, we have decided to give scores for the quiz this time :)  For every correct raga you get 10 points and for every correct composition you get 5 points thereby making the maximum possible score of 300. 
The format for sending the answers is - Question Number - Name of the Raga - Pallavi line (first few words).  Rasikas can send in their answers through email to quiz@ragasurabhi.com with a subject line - Special Quiz-Week 125.  The last date for submitting your entries is 31/Jan/2012.  Looking forward to receiving your answers, and......
